Dr. Chance Kaplan honors 200 Veterans in Miami Area
Dr. (Col) Chance Kaplan, 81st Regional Support Command Surgeon (center)
stands with staff of The Capital Grille, located in Miami, during an
Army Certificate of Appreciation held Jan. 9, 2009 in front of the
restaurant Truman Skinner, Yadira Sanchez, Herb Stahl, Matt Berkman,
Mercy Iglesias, Gabriel Valle, Odel Arencibia, Fred Sutherland, and
Joseph Lowit. The 81st RSC Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Charles E.
Gorton, recognized the staff in recognition to their commitment to
America's veterans during Thanksgiving. The restaurant staff served more
than 200 Thanksgiving meals to homeless veterans at the Bruce W. Carter
Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, located in Miami.
